What is a Glow Wire Test?
The glow wire test is to test the stability of electronic and electrical products when they are working. The glow wire itself is actually a resistance wire ring with a fixed specification. During glow wire test, it must be heated to a specified temperature with electricity, so that the top of the glow wire contacts the sample for a standard time, and then observe and measure its state. The test range depends on the specific test procedure.

Glow wire test requirements for lamps
According to the standard requirements, each part of the lamp structure has different requirements for the glow wire test temperature, as follows:
1. To ensure the lowest level of fire hazard caused by parts being ignited, the glow wire test temperature is 550 degrees;
2. For equipment in normal use, the glow wire test temperature is 650 degrees
3. For normal use of equipment under harsh conditions, the fixed accessories for installation, the glow wire test temperature is 750 degrees;
4. For unattended equipment with continuous load, the glow wire test temperature is 850 degrees;
5. For unattended use of equipment under continuous load under severe conditions, intended for equipment near building power points, the glow wire test temperature is 950 degrees.
