I. The purpose of the dust test chamber
The dustproof test chamber, also known as dustproof grade test equipment, is suitable for the dustproof test of welders, electronic equipment,electrical products, automotive lamps, motorcycles, chemical plants and other parts and materials, and then check the sealing performance of the goods’ shell protection level GB4208-93 IP5X/IP6X dustproof test.

II. Requirement for Placement of Test Products
The purpose of dustproof test chamber is mainly used for the test of sealing performance of electronic, electrical, automobile and motorcycle products and other products, and the working capacity of the products in the environment with no obvious air flow or in the place with strong air flow and large amount of sand dust similar place.

The attention of placing the test pieces in dustproof test chamber are:
1. The volume of the product should not exceed 25% of its equipment box volume, and the base of the sample should not exceed 50% of the horizontal plane area;
2. If the size of the sample does not meet the above requirements, the following methods shall be prescribed in the relevant standards:
(1) representative components of the test product, including doors, ventilation doors, supports, sealed shafts, etc.;
(2) small samples with the same design details as the original product
3. Dustproof test chamber according to the product operation conditions;

Test the sealed part of the product alone; The fine components of the product, such as terminals, collector rings, etc., should be kept in place during the test; Dustproof test chamber is according to the product operation conditions.

The shell of the product can be divided into two types: First type: The pressure in the shell of the product may be different from the atmospheric pressure of the outside world, such as the different pressure caused by the thermal circulation during operation. For the samples with type 1 shell, put them into their equipment box, and install them in the normal use position, and connect the dust test chamber to the vacuum pump to reduce the pressure inside the sample lower than the atmospheric pressure. Therefore, a suitable hole should be provided on the shell, and if a drain hole is already provided on the shell wall, the vacuum tube should be connected to the hole, and no reboring is needed. If there are more than one drainage holes, the vacuum tube should be connected to one of the holes, and the other holes should be sealed during the test.

Second type: The air pressure in the shell sample is the same as the air pressure outside. For samples with type 2 shells, place them in the dust test chamber and install them in the normal use position. All open holes should be kept open. The requirements and solutions for the placement of the test articles in the equipment box.

III. The structural advantages of dustproof test chamber are as follows

6. Under the premise of meeting the national industry standards, the characteristics of each level of the dustproof test box are stable, basic more applicable, and more conducive to operation. The dustproof test chamber is easy to install and use, and most of them do not need daily maintenance;
7. The dustproof test box is equipped with a dust vertical circulation system for rotation, and talcum powder is used as smoke. Smoke is blown into the air supply model channel through the centrifugal fan at the bottom of the model pipe, and then it is evenly dispersed through the air outlet guide plate on the upper end of the equipment. The
smoke can float evenly in the test box under the circulation of air flow. According to the volume of each cubic meter test box, the usage of talcum powder is 2kg, and the application frequency shall not exceed 20 times. IV. Dust Prevention Test Method of Dust Test Chamber
For protection category IP5X, samples of type A normal usage with air pressure inside the shell lower than atmospheric pressure shall be equipped with vacuum port in proximity to exchangeable parts, and vacuum hose is connected between the vacuum port of sample and vacuum system. For protection category IP5X, samples of type B normal usage with air pressure inside the shell lower than atmospheric pressure, if the product standard is clearly stipulated as type B shell, then no vacuum required for test of IP5X; otherwise, all samples will be considered as type A shell and vacuum is required during test of IP5X.Place the samples in the position as required by sample technical
requirements. Vacuum is required for samples of protection category IP6X, regardless of type A shell or type B shell.
