It is widely used in the authentication test organization for the products such as electrical & electronic products, LED luminaires as well as in the relevant quality control department for the waterproof detection of the enclosures protection grades.

The IP rating consists of two numbers, the first number represents the protection level against solid particles, and the second number represents the protection level against liquid ingress. The higher the number, the stronger the protection capability. For example, IP65 indicates that the device has complete protection against dust and high protection against liquid ingress.

Depending on the testing requirements, observe the interior of the chamber at different time points during the test. After the test, open the chamber and check if any water has entered the interior. Humidity meters and other tools can be used to detect water ingress and accumulation. Based on the actual test results and observations, determine the protection capability of the test chamber.
After the testing is completed, analyze and compare the test results. Evaluate if the protection capability of the test chamber meets the requirements based on the test results and actual specifications. If the protection capability is not satisfactory, appropriate improvement measures and adjustments need to be taken.
It is important tonote that IP protection testing methods are just one way to evaluate the performance of a test chamber and the results may be influenced by various factors.
