By adjusting the proportion of each color light, you can adjust and prepare a variety of color lights. The color matching of surface color (surface color of paint and dye) is a subtractive mixing, which is essentially to obtain various colors by adjusting the proportion of cyan, magenta and yellow pigment (or dye). Therefore, magenta, yellow and cyan are the three primary colors of surface colors such as paint and dye.
Manual color matching:
The so-called traditional paint preparation method refers to the color additive preparation method widely used by most paint enterprises in China at present, which uses a certain color in the color card or standard color template as the target color, and evaluates the color difference between the mixed color and the target color by manual visual inspection. The purpose of color mixing is to obtain the color paint that can reproduce the target color in small batches; For the production process of color paint, it is necessary to obtain a feasible formula to reproduce the target color paint, or directly tune out the target color and retain the sample solution.
1. Study the target color. Before color matching, the color to be prepared (target color: a certain color in the standard color card, standard color template or sample paint) should be defined first, the target color should be studied, the position of its hue in the hue ring should be determined, and the composition of the colors should be analyzed, which is the main hue, which is the secondary hue, and the approximate proportion of each color should be determined, and then what color pigments can be selected, and their hue should be determined, Which pigments should be selected to apply.
2. Paint slurry. The grinding process is adopted. After grinding and mixing the paint paste with pigment evenly, select the type of color mixing paste to be added, and estimate its dosage.
3. Add color paste (facial paste) to mix colors. Slowly add the color paste while stirring. Carefully modulate according to the principle of adjusting the depth first and adjusting the color base note. In practice, first determine the main color of the target color, and then add the pigment paste corresponding to the main color in the base material to make the depth of the trial color close to the standard color of the day, and then add other pigment paste to make the color close to the target color.
4. Make a wrench. On the one hand, before comparing the standard color plate with the trial color, we should imitate the construction method of the standard color plate (especially the base material should be consistent) to make the plate. For example, if the standard color plate is obtained by spraying method, the spraying method should also be used when trying to match the color plate. On the other hand, the accuracy of color mixing is directly affected by whether the method of plate making is standardized. The plate must be prepared according to the specified method (self drying or drying method shall be selected for brushing or spraying the plate). It is required to brush the board evenly to make the film thickness moderate. When spraying plate, compressed air pressure, bite distance, spray gun operation mode and operation speed shall be operated in strict accordance with specifications. When drying the film, if the drying method is selected, the wet film should be placed at room temperature for a period of time before entering the drying equipment for drying. The drying temperature and time must be strictly controlled to prevent the film from drying or drying.
5. Color comparison. The ambient lighting conditions shall be guaranteed, and multi-angle and repeated comparison shall be made. When comparing the color of the dry film made of the mixed paint with the color card or standard color board, the color should be repeatedly compared up and down, left and right, and horizontal to avoid errors caused by human visual factors. Especially when the ambient lighting is dark, it should be carefully identified. Generally, when observing the color of the coating film, it is necessary to select the bright place illuminated by the diffuse sunlight and prevent the interference of the strong reflected light generated by the objects around the field of view. Of course, it can also be compared in the light box of the lighting body, not in the direct sunlight (especially in the morning or afternoon).
6. Trim the color. According to the three principles of color mixing, the achromatic method is used for color correction.

Therefore, manual color mixing takes a long time and requires dozens of times of color correction process to get close to the target color, which takes time and materials.

When the user gets a sample, he needs to reproduce the same color as the sample. At this time, he needs to repeat proofing. Previously, the difference between the small sample and the standard sample was compared by the human eye. When it is within the allowable range, the process is handed over to the workshop for production.
Due to the subjective factors of the human eye, the difference is difficult to determine. At this time, the difference between the small sample and the standard sample can be measured by the color difference meter, Determine whether the color difference of the sample conforms to the range according to the difference, which can reduce the uncertainty of human eye observation.

Set the measured value of the standard sample as the standard, and then measure the sample to get the result of the sample:

It can be seen that the next time you modify the sample formula, you should add red (or minus green) and yellow (or minus blue). You can determine the degree of addition according to the test results. Repeat several times until the color difference is within the allowable range. An experienced color mixing master can determine the proportion of the formula between 2-3 times according to the value of the color difference meter.
