Operation tutorial of dustproof testing machine

Dustproof testing machine can also be called sand and dustproof test chamber, sand and dust test chamber and other names. It uses the medium talcum powder to conduct dust detection on the shell of the product. It refers to the dustproof test on the shells of various electronic and electrical products, which can also be understood as the IP dustproof grade test.

Working principle requirements:
The powder circulating pump in the sand and dust test chamber can be replaced by other methods that can suspend talc powder. Talc powder shall be filtered by metal square mesh sieve. Straight wire diameter 50 μ m. Mesh size 75 μ m。 The amount of talc powder is 2kg per cubic meter of test chamber volume, and the number of times of use shall not exceed 20.

Machine operation steps:
1. Pour talcum powder evenly into the bottom of the box.
2. Place the test sample (lamp) in the center of the network and connect it to the dust-proof socket (note: pay attention to the safety of electricity before the sample is powered on);
3. Close the door and press the “Test Start” button to automatically start the dust test. The test stops automatically until the set time.

Pretreatment sample:
1. If the technical conditions of the sample are required, the sample shall be pretreated as required to keep the sample dry. The dustproof test is a part of the shell protection test and is usually connected with the waterproof test. After the waterproof test, the sample must be dried before being put into the dustproof box. If no pretreatment conditions are specified for the sample, the sample shall be placed for more than 2 hours according to GB2423.37.
① Temperature: between 15 ℃ and 35 ℃;
② . Relative humidity: 45% – 75%;
③ . Atmospheric pressure: 8kpa-106kpa

Precautions for sand and dust testing machine:
1. When the internal dust-proof test chamber fails, stop heating immediately and give a fault prompt to indicate the internal failure;
2. After the test, first turn off the running switch, then turn off the main switch, and pay attention to the sand and dust flushing out when opening the door for sampling;
3. The air temperature in the dustproof test chamber shall be high enough to ensure that the relative humidity in the chamber reaches 25% or lower. Put the samples at room temperature in the test box according to the normal use position or according to relevant regulations when they are not packaged, not powered and ready for use. If more than one sample is included, it should be noted that the samples should not touch each other and should not shield each other from dust;
4. Inject sand and dust into the test chamber to ensure that the specified dust concentration is maintained within the specified injection time or throughout the test;
5. After the conditional test, the sample remains in the test chamber until the sand and dust are completely settled;
6. The sample volume shall not exceed 25% of the volume of the test chamber, and the sample base shall not exceed 50% of the horizontal area of the working space of the test chamber.

The dust test chamber is applicable to the IP5X and IP6X dustproof test of the products.
