Brief description of IPX8 waterproof test equipment

Waterproof test equipment, also known as rain test box, waterproof test device, rain test machine and other different names, can provide lifelike simulation of electronic equipment in the environment of simulated rain, which may be splashed or drenched during transportation or use, in order to detect whether the product has waterproof performance.

There are many kinds of IPX8 waterproof test equipments. IPX waterproof test device can also be called IPX8 immersion tank waterproof test device. It is a method to conduct immersion test on products. The waterproof level of grade 8 is also a high waterproof level. The diving equipment generally needs to reach the waterproof level of grade 8. The test of IPX8 waterproof test device is more severe than that of IPX7, so special attention should be paid to the test process.

IPX8 waterproof tester has three functions: 1. water pressure test; 2. Air pressure test; 3. Negative pressure test meets the requirements of multiple test methods for samples.

Generally, the products that need to reach IPX8 waterproof grade include: underwater UAV, watch, bracelet, swimming pool lamp, fish trap, diving lamp, mobile phone, flashlight, signal generator, etc. IPX8 waterproof test device can be manufactured through negotiation with the manufacturer according to the requirements of the national standard GB4208-2017 IP Code for Enclosure Protection Grade.

Equipment features of IPX8 waterproof tester:
1. It is applicable to IPX8 waterproof grade test of products.
2. The tank body is made of 304 stainless steel and formed by high-precision integral sub-arc welding, with good pressure resistance.
3. The outside is a square structure, welded with stainless steel plate, humanized design: 45 ° inclined mode, key operation; The tank cover is of moderate height and convenient for operation.
4. Special silicone sealing ring has good elasticity and is not vulnerable.
5. Pressure display: the imported “Panasonic” brand-pressure sensor is used to automatically control the test pressure in the tank. The control accuracy is ± 0.002Mpa, and the sensor display accuracy is 0.001Mpa.
6. According to customer requirements, holes can be punched in the tank body to facilitate sample power-on test (need to be explained in advance)

Working principle of water pressure test of IPX8 waterproof test equipment:
1. Place the sample on the sample platform in the test tank in advance;
2. After locking the tank cover, set the pressure condition and start the equipment. The sample will sink directly into the bottom with the tray and pressurize the inside at the same time;
3. If there is leakage point in the sample during pressurization; Water will be pressed into the sample, and the air in the sample will be discharged. If the leakage hole of the sample is large, bubbles at the leakage position can be observed.
4. When the test time is up, you can take out the samples and disassemble the inspection results.

Working principle of air pressure test of IPX8 waterproof test equipment:
1. Place the sample on the sample platform in the test tank in advance;
2. Close the cover, lock the screws, set the test pressure and time, and then start the equipment;
3. The sample platform stops with the sample in the air on the water surface, increases the pressure on the water surface to the set value, and then maintains the pressure. If there is a leak point in the sample, the air will be pressed into the sample cavity;
4. After holding pressure for a period of time, the sample is immersed in water with the tray;
5. After a short time, discharge the compressed air on the water surface; At this time, if the air pressure in the defective sample is greater than the external pressure, the gas will be discharged and the leak point will be found by observing the position of the bubble.

Working principle of negative pressure test of IPX8 waterproof test equipment:
1. Place the sample on the sample platform in the test tank in advance;
2. After locking the tank cover, set the pressure condition and start the equipment; The sample directly sinks into the bottom with the tray, and the vacuum pump starts to work at the same time to vacuum the cavity;
3. If there is a leak point in the sample, the air in the sample will be evacuated and the leak point of the sample can be observed through bubbles.
When IPX8 waterproof test equipment is used, the test time can be set to about 10 hours, which is optional.

Precautions for installation of IPX8 waterproof test equipment:
1. Before installation, the user is requested to carefully check whether all tools and accessories are complete according to the installation list. If there is any omission, please contact the manufacturer in time to supplement the accessories and tools.
2. Connect the water source: the water inlet and drain are located at the bottom of the back of the case, and connect the water pipe according to the identification.
3. Connect the air source: the air source interface is located at the back of the case. Please connect the air pipe to the air source (the air supply pressure is 0.3-0.8Mpa).
4. Power on: the power cord is 2.5 meters long. Please select the nearest power supply and plug it into the socket (the power supply voltage is 220V, and the equipment power is 100W).
5. Add water: open the faucet and water inlet valve, and add water slightly below the tray (do not overflow the tray). After adding water, please close the water inlet valve and faucet in time.
6. Adjust the inlet pressure: the pressure regulating valve is on the left side of the case; First pull out the upper cover of the pressure regulating valve, turn it slightly clockwise to make the pointer direction exceed the standard test pressure by about 0.05Mpa, and then press it to keep the inlet pressure stable.

The operation steps of IPX8 waterproof test equipment:
1. Power on: first turn on the switch power at the back of the device, press the power button at the bottom of the touch screen to enter the main interface program;
2. Install the sample: unscrew the cap screws, firmly grasp the upper cap handle, and slowly open the cap; Fix the sample on the tray (it should be placed as far forward as possible to facilitate observation); If the sample is light, it is necessary to bind the sample or increase the counterweight to prevent it from floating;
3. Sealing the tank cover: lock the tank cover in diagonal order; Use the steel bar of the case to assist the locking device;
4. Parameter setting: set water pressure depth, pressure holding time, delayed pressure reduction and other test conditions;
5. Close the manual exhaust valve;
6. Click “Test Start” to start the test: water pressure mode: the sample sinks with the tray, and at the same time, the equipment begins to inflate and pressurize; Air pressure mode: inflate inside the equipment and sink to the bottom after reaching the pressure holding time; Negative pressure mode: the sample sinks with the tray, and the vacuum is started in the equipment at the same time;
7. Observe the leakage of the sample (prompt: under the water pressure mode, even if some samples enter water, bubbles cannot be observed, because the air in the sample can also be compressed);
8. After the test time expires, the equipment will automatically relieve pressure (the user can also open the manual exhaust valve to relieve pressure)/or restore normal pressure (under negative pressure mode); After the pressure relief is completed, the tray is lifted and the test is completed;
9. Unscrew the screw, take out the sample and observe the test results.
