The glow wire test is to test the stability of electronic and electrical products at work. The glow wire itself is actually a fixed-size resistance wire ring. During the test, it is heated to the specified temperature with electricity, so that the tip of the glow wire contacts the sample to reach the standard required time, and then observe and measure its state. 1. Working principle of glow wire
The glow wire tester is to simulate that the parts of the insulating material or other solid combustible materials that can easily spread the flame inside the device may ignite due to the glow wire or the glowing element, The principle lies in that the nickel-chromium wire (U-shaped glow wire) with the specified material Φ4 mm is heated to the specified temperature (300 ℃-1000 ℃) with a large current, and the sample is scalded at the specified pressure (1.0N) for 30s. Whether the test article and the bedding ignite or hold the time to determine the fire hazard of the finished electrical and electronic equipment; After the test is completed, record the glow time, ignition time (Ti), flame extinction time (Te), and flammability index (GWFI).

2. The scope of application
Glow wire tester is suitable for research on electrical and electronic products and their components such as lighting equipment, low-voltage electrical appliances, household appliances, machine tool appliances, motors, power tools, electronic instruments, electrical instruments, information technology equipment, electrical connections and paving, etc. The production department is also applicable to the industries of insulating materials, engineering plastics or other solid combustible materials.
