This constantly changing temperature environment will affect the function, performance, quality and life of the product, accelerate the aging of the product, and shorten the service life of the product.
If the product is exposed to such a large alternating high temperature and low temperature environment for a long time, it needs to have sufficient resistance to high and low temperature cycles. In this way, we need to simulate certain environmental conditions and perform high and low temperature tests on the product to understand the performance of the product in this respect. Why do lighting fixtures need high and low temperature impact testing?
1. The plastic shell of the lamp cannot withstand the environment, and the plastic shell of the LED is easy to be brittle and damaged under the impact of high and low temperature;
2. The lamp tube burns out under the condition of rapid temperature change;
3. The circuit board chip of the lighting lamp is easy to short-circuit under the impact of cold and heat.
The influence of low temperature on LED lamps
LED lamps are a kind of lighting products composed of a variety of electronic components and structural parts. The performance of semiconductor devices, electrolytic capacitors, etc. will change at low temperatures, so low temperature factors need to be considered when selecting devices.
1. The influence of low temperature on the switch tube
The density and activity of the switching tube in the low temperature environment will be reduced, and the starting point of the overload protection will also be reduced.
2. The influence of low temperature on electrolytic capacitors
2.1. Electrolytic capacitor electrolyte is easy to freeze in a low temperature environment (the electrolyte production process is different, and the ability to withstand low temperatures is greatly different), the capacitance value is reduced, the capacitance effect is lost, and there is no load capacity, which makes the LED drive start abnormally.
2.2. Under working conditions, as the temperature decreases, the ESR equivalent series resistance of the capacitor will increase sharply, and the electrolytic capacitor’s ability to suppress ripple will decrease, and the voltage ripple will increase accordingly.
The high and low temperature test has no fixed standards for the specific temperature of the test, the retention time of high and low temperatures, the time of heating and cooling, and the number of cycles to be measured. The usual temperature is -40 to 150°C, the temperature holding time ranges from 2 hours to 8 hours, the temperature change time is generally within half an hour, and the cycle period ranges from 4 to 20 cycles.
