Introduction of standards and test methods of Dust Proof Chamber

The scientific name of the dust proof chamber is sand-dust test machine, dust-resistant test machine, waterproof test chamber and other different names. It is used for IP dust-proof test of products. Its scope of use includes but is not limited to electrical appliances, lighting fixtures, instruments, intelligent robots, camera equipment, vacuum cleaners, sweepers and other products.

Working principle:
The powder circulating pump in the sand and dust test chamber can be replaced by other methods that can suspend talc powder. Talc powder shall be filtered by metal square mesh sieve. Straight wire diameter 50 μ m. Mesh size 75 μ m。 The amount of talc powder is 2kg per cubic meter of test chamber volume, and the number of times of use shall not exceed 20.

The sand and dust test chamber is strict with the medium used. The dust is dry talc powder, and the talc powder shall be filtered by metal square mesh sieve. The criterion is that dust cannot be completely prevented from entering, but the amount of dust entering shall not affect the normal operation of the equipment.

The dust proof chamber is used to test the products for 1-6 different dust-proof grades, with 6 different categories, namely IP1X dust-proof test ball, IP2X dust-proof test finger, IP3X dust-proof test probe, IP4X dust-proof test line and ip56x sand-dust test box.
The standard of dustproof test equipment shall meet the requirements of technical parameters such as IEC60529:1989+A1:1999+A2:2013 Degrees of Protection Provided by Enclosures (IP Code) and GB4208-2017 Degrees of Protection Provided by Enclosures (IP Code).

Structural characteristics of dust proof chamber:
The outer shell of the facility is made of cold-rolled steel plate with electrostatic spray molding, and the inner liner is made of high-grade stainless steel plate. The overall appearance is beautiful and generous. A large area observation window and manual wiper device are set in the middle of the box door, which can easily see the test condition of the test piece during the test. The operation method of humanized design is easy to learn and use, and the instrument operation of different function grades is compatible. The input uses a digital correction system, with built-in common thermocouple and thermal resistance nonlinear correction tables, and the measurement is stable. It has the function of position adjustment and AI artificial intelligence adjustment, and multiple alarm modes. The facility has a timing function. Stainless steel finned heating tubes are used for heating the facilities. The dust blowing cycle and vibration cycle of the whole facility can be adjusted, and the timer for the total test is equipped.

Test method of dust test equipment:
1. Clean the sample shell and try to avoid dust entering the test chamber.
2. Place the sample in the middle of the interior. If it is necessary to power on the test, turn on the sample power supply.
3. Pour the screened talc powder into the box, pay attention to the dust usage of 2 kg/m3, and close the box door.
4. To start the equipment, it is necessary to set test parameters, such as power-on time, vibration time, dust blowing time, etc.
5. After the test, wait for the dust to stand for 30min before opening the box door, and take out the sample for inspection. Be careful not to open the cabinet door immediately to prevent dust from gushing directly from the cabinet and causing laboratory environmental pollution.

1. The dust is mainly dry talc powder medium;

Installation requirements of sand and dust test chamber
1. The site must have enough space to accommodate the test equipment and appropriate maintenance space;
2. The power supply of the device shall have good grounding facilities;
3. The space height of the site shall be such that after the installation of the device, it can operate normally and maintain and repair in the future;
4. The plant shall be located in a place where the perennial temperature is kept at 2-35 ℃ and the relative humidity is not more than 85%, and there shall be good ventilation facilities;
5. It should be installed in places with less dust;
6. The ambient temperature of the installation site must not change sharply;
7. It shall be installed on the horizontal ground (the level shall be determined on the ground with a level meter during installation);
8. It should be installed in a place without direct sunlight;
9. It should be installed at a place far away from combustibles, explosives and high temperature heat sources.

Precautions for dust test instrument
1. When the internal dust-proof test box fails, stop heating immediately and give a fault prompt to indicate the internal failure;
2. After the test, first turn off the running switch, then turn off the main switch, and pay attention to the sand and dust flushing out when opening the door for sampling;
3. The air temperature in the dustproof test box shall be high enough to ensure that the relative humidity in the box reaches 25% or lower. Put the samples at room temperature in the test box according to the normal use position or according to relevant regulations when they are not packaged, not powered and ready for use. If more than one sample is included, it should be noted that the samples should not touch each other and should not shield each other from dust;
4. Inject sand and dust into the test chamber to ensure that the specified dust concentration is maintained within the specified injection time or throughout the test;
5. After the conditional test, the sample shall remain in the test chamber until the sand and dust are completely settled;
6. The sample volume shall not exceed 25% of the volume of the test chamber, and the sample base shall not exceed 50% of the horizontal area of the working space of the test chamber.
