The equipment tests by exposing the test material to the controlled sunlight and humidity alternating cycle, and changing the temperature. The equipment simulates sunlight by using ultraviolet fluorescent lamps, and can also simulate humidity effects by condensation or spraying.
Only a few days or weeks are needed for the equipment to reproduce the damage that needs months or years outdoors. The damage caused mainly includes fading, discoloration, decrease in brightness, pulverization, cracking, blur, brittleness, decrease in strength and oxidation.

The main difference between the lamps is their total UV energy produced in their respective wavelength ranges.

Generally, high temperature will accelerate the polymer degradation process, and the allowable test temperature should be determined according to the test material and aging performance evaluation index.
The infrared light emitted by the fluorescent UV lamp is less than the xenon lamp and carbon arc lamp, and the heating effect on the surface of the sample is basically formed by air convection. How to Operate the Ultraviolet Aging Test chamber:
The UV Aging Test Chamber adopts fluorescent ultraviolet lamp as light source, simulates the ultraviolet radiation and condensation in natural sunlight, and performs accelerated weather resistance test to obtain the weather resistance of materials.
It can simulate the environment conditions of ultraviolet, rain, high temperature, high humidity, condensation, dark and etc. in the natural climate and complete the cyclic repetition automatically by combining these conditions into a cycle. It is important to operate the UV Aging Test Chamber correctly, because incorrect operation may cause some unnecessary faults and safety hazards. In order to ensure the safety of your use, please try to avoid some potential troubles:
1. Connect to the power supply and ground:
2. Open the chamber and place the sample according to the correct placement method (which can be found on the website or contacted by phone);
3. Set the “Total Test Time”, the three gearch on the timer are the “h”, “M” and “S”, respectively, represent for hours, minutes, and seconds. The running time can be selected by rolling up and down the button;
4. Set the “Lamp Lighting Time”, you can set the conversion between “Lighting” and “Humidity”, that is the lighting (daylight) and humidity (night) condensation, operated in the same way as “Total Test Time”;
5. Press the “Start” button and “Lamp Lighting” button;
6. “Temperature Setting”:Press “Mode Key” on the instrument panel of Ultraviolet Aging Test Box, then press “^ ^ Adjust Temperature” to adjust. After the adjustment is completed, press “Mode Key” to return, the character is stable and no flashing, the setting is complete;
7. After all the above is set up, the device enters the running state;
8. When the experiment time is over, the UV Aging Test Chamber will automatically enter the standby state;
9. Open the door of the test chamber and remove the sample;
10. When independent lighting test is required, please set the “Lamp Lighting Time” with the same time as “Total Test Time” and the “Max Value” on the other side.
How to extend the service life of UV test chamber:
1.Cut off the power when the equipment is in shutdown status and keep it dry;
2.Drain the water inside and wipe the working chamber and chamber body after each test;
3.It is recommended to cover the chamber with plastic film or cloth to prevent dust from entering; if there is dust, please clean it in time;
4.Do not bump the sensor inside the test chamber too hard;
5.The equipment should be installed in a ventilated place with constant temperature. It is recommended to install air exchange fan to keep indoor ventilation. Air conditioner can be installed if necessary.
6.Do not take apart and repair the test chamber by yourself when it can’t be excluded, please promptly notify the manufacturer for maintenance.
7.When the equipment is not used for a long time and needs to be opened for use again, please check the power, water source and components to make sure there is no problem before use;
8.The waste water discharge system must be installed in place;
9.Do not contact this device with corrosive chemicals, combustible and explosive materials;
10.When the operator does not wear protective glasses to use UV test chamber, please do not look directly into the lamp tube.
