What are the levels of the waterproof test system

Introduction of waterproof test system:
The waterproof test system includes the following test grades: IPX1, IPX2, IPX3, IPX4, IPX5, IPX6, IPX7 and IPX8 (Refer to page 51 of IEC60529). It is widely used in the authentication test organization for the products such as electrical & electronic products, LED luminaires as well as in the relevant quality control department for the waterproof detection of the enclosures protection grades.

Meaning of protection level:
0 No protection
1 Anti-dripping type I drops falling vertically have no harmful effects
2 Anti-drip II type Water droplets falling within 15 degrees of the vertical direction have no harmful effects
3 Rain-proof type No harmful effects of rain within a range of 60 degrees from the vertical
4 Splash-proof type No harmful effects from splashing water in any direction
5 Anti-spray type Any direction is directly affected by water jets without harmful effects
6 Water-resistant type It will not enter into the interior if it is directly sprayed by water in any direction
7 Anti-immersion type   will not enter the interior even if immersed in water under specified conditions
8 Underwater type It can still be used when immersed in water under a certain pressure for a long time
9 Anti-humidity type Can be used even under humidity with a relative humidity of 90% or less

Fully meet IEC60529:1989 +A1:1999 +A2：2013 《Degrees of protection provided by enclosures(IP Code)》, IEC60598, IEC60335 and IEC 60034-5.
