What are the requirements of the standards and methods for Dust Proof Chamber

Dust proof chamber is also known as sand dust test chamber, dust resistance tester, sand dust test chamber and other different names. It tests the physical and other related properties of products under the simulated powder environment.

Requirements for working principle of dustproof chamber: the dustproof test chamber is a powder circulating pump in a closed test chamber that can be replaced by other methods that can suspend talcum powder.

Sand and dust requirements:
The dust shall be dry talcum powder, which shall be filtered by metal square hole sieve. The linear diameter of the wire is 50 μ m. The mesh size is 75 μ m。 The amount of talcum powder shall be 2kg/m3, and the number of uses shall not exceed 20.

The dust proof chamber has two different test methods. The first is that when the air pressure in the chamber is lower than the ambient atmospheric pressure, the vacuum pump is used to keep it lower than the atmospheric pressure due to the thermal cycling effect, and the air extraction air should be connected to the hole specially set for the test.

The second type: when the air pressure in the enclosure is the same as the ambient air pressure, the tested enclosure shall be put into the test chamber according to the normal working position, but not connected to the vacuum pump. The drain hole opened during the test shall be kept open, and the test duration shall be 8h.

What is the blowing time of the dust proof chamber?
1. Dust blowing: when no specified value is available, the dust blowing wind speed includes 1.5m/s allowable low wind speed required to maintain test conditions and 8.9m/s high speed of typical desert wind.
2. Dust reduction: the wind speed used to disperse the dust in the air above the test piece can be used to ensure that the wind speed at the test piece does not exceed 0.2m/s. The wind speed of 0.2m/s only raises dust to suspend it in the air and slowly settle to the upper surface of the test piece.
Of course, it is mainly determined according to the user’s test requirements for the product. If there is no specified time or limited time, the dust blowing time (stop and blow): the continuous and periodic dust blowing can be set at any time; Vibrating time: vibration and vibration stop time are automatically alternated; In addition, the test time can be preset: the maximum test time is 99 hours and 59 minutes.
