The use of salt spray test chamber:
The atmospheric environment is the environment in which most corrosion occurs. When we test in the atmosphere, we will find that the oxygen in the atmosphere, temperature changes, air humidity and pollutants are the main corrosive components and corrosive factors. The salt spray is a major corrosive component in the atmosphere, and it is destructive. It mainly refers to the atmosphere of chloride, which comes from the ocean or some heavy saline-alkali land in the mainland. Its main ingredient is sodium chloride.
The salt spray in the salt spray test chamber corrodes the surface of metal materials, mainly because the chloride ion contained in the salt spray penetrates the oxide layer of the metal surface and then electrochemically reacts with the protective layer and the internal metal. From this, the acid resistance or alkali resistance of its products can be tested.
The working principle of the salt spray test chamber is relatively simple, mainly compressing the corrosive solution into an air spray, spraying the sample, and wrapping the spray on all sides of the sample as much as possible. This test can be performed continuously or cyclically until the sample is corroded. , And then record the corrosion time as the corrosion resistance of the sample. The longer the time, the better the corrosion resistance of the sample.
