IEC 60081:2013 is an international standard that specifies the performance requirements for double – capped fluorescent lamps used in general lighting service. It covers various types of double – capped fluorescent lamps, including those with pre – heated cathodes that operate with or without starters at AC power frequencies and those that work at high frequencies, as well as non – pre – heated cathode lamps.
This standard focuses on key performance indicators such as the lamp’s electrical properties, light output, light distribution, color temperature, and color rendering index. It stipulates the rated power, starting time, continuous operation time, light attenuation, and luminous flux maintenance rate of the lamps. In addition, detailed regulations are made on the light output and light distribution to ensure uniform illumination under various usage conditions. The standard also sets minimum requirements for color temperature and color rendering index to guarantee consistent visual experience and accurate color reproduction in different lighting scenarios.
