VDE 0470-1-2017 Plugs and Sockets For Household and Similar Purposes

This standard specifies products for household and similar purposes (whether indoors or outdoors) with or without grounding sockets and with a rated voltage greater than 50V.
But it does not exceed 440V. Plugs, fixed sockets or mobile sockets that are only suitable for alternating current. The rated current does not exceed 32A.
For fixed sockets with screwless terminals, the rated current is limited to 16A.
This standard does not involve the requirements for concealed buried sockets. It only covers the requirements for surface-mounted socket-outlets that are necessary for socket-outlet testing.
